However, the most popular features in Netanya are its beaches that stretch 12 km along the edge of the city. Families and individuals flock to the beautiful beaches that sit blow rugged cliffs. For visitors who want to do some sightseeing on foot, the "Israel Road" is a path that spans the length of the country, from Kibbutz Dan to Eilat, part of which includes the promenade in Netanya. Not only does Netanya have modern attractions, but many historical ones as well-Um Khaled Khan, a 1,000 year old sycamore, the Pninat Shabtai Museumand the Diamond Center Museum (which even has a miniature diamond mine model). Of course Netanya also has several nature reserves as well-Irises Reserve, Nahal Poleg Nature Reserve and the Udim Reserve-each offering different, exciting glimpses into nature.
