AIT Roots of Your Faith Tour will lead you through the Holy Land, where you will be acquainted with the most important biblical and historical sites and with modern Israel. From Tel Aviv we drive over the coastal plains to Caesarea, an ancient roman port whose amphitheatre still hosts concerts and plays. In the Galilee we will see where Jesus began his ministry and we will walk through the settlements where he preached and taught. We will pray at the Mount of the Beatitudes where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount. Sail across the Sea of Galilee as did the ancient disciples. Visit the city of Nazareth, the boyhood home of Jesus and continue southward along the Jordan Valley to the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea. Float and relax at the world famous Dead Sea spas. Climb by cable car to the spectacular mountaintop fortress Masada, built by King Herod. Visit Qumran, the site where the Dead Sea scrolls were found. And finally, ascend to Jerusalem – the holy city of Zion. In Jerusalem, we will visit the city’s abundant biblical and historical sites, and spiritually connect with God’s Promised Land. "This is just a short note to say that my family just returned from the AIT Israel tour guided by Nahum Neil Eisenstadt and I would rate him as OUTSTANDING! He had a thorough understanding of the history and culture of the sites visited. He also used visual aids including sketches, maps and diagrams to supplement his presentations which were very insightful and aided greatly in the understanding of the material. What sets Neil apart from the many guides we have had (recently having visited Galapagos, Egypt, Belize, Costa Rica so we have a number of guides to which to compare him) is his PASSION for the material. It was evident that he was not simply dispensing facts but that Neil very much wanted us to understand and re-live the experiences and the world of those people about whom he was talking.
